Glossary



Switches
All switches are 2 way and 10 amp rated. 2 way switches can be wired as 1 way.
An intermediate switch is required when you have more than two switches controling a single light fitting.

Sockets
Mains sockets are switched 13amp single earth. 2amp and 5amp unswitched sockets are avilable for lighting circuits.

Dimmers
Dimmers are rated at 60 – 400w (240v) and are suitable for both mains and low voltage circuits. Larger wattage dimmers are available if required – please contact us for details.

Fused spurs
Fused spurs are switched and rated at 13 amp.  Unswitched spurs and flex outlets are also available if required.

Double Pole Switches
20amp and 45 amp DP switches are available. The 45 amp switch is available on a small or large plate and additionally with a socket at the side.

Phone points
A master point is required for the main bt line entering the house. Extensions to this require secondary points.

RJ45 point
Suitable for data communuications.

Fan isolator
Triple pole fan isolating switch rated at 6amp required for isolating fans in bathrooms.

Shaver point
Dual voltage shaver 115-230v.

Recommended British Standard Back Box Depth :
Switches - 25mm Wallboxes
Sockets & Dimmers - 35mm Wallboxes
Cooker Switches - 47mm Wallboxes

**Please be advised when using the  Flat plate Range that the Back Box is secured below plaster depth to ensure a flush fit.
